Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Team management: Lead and supervise a team of collection executives to achieve monthly targets.
  • Collection and recovery: Implement collection activities, minimize delinquencies, and recover revenue. This involves direct communication with clients to discuss performance and overdue amounts.
  • Performance monitoring: Track and report on collection performance, conduct daily and regular account reconciliations, and maintain accurate records.
  • Field operations: Conduct field visits to meet with delinquent customers, attend center meetings, and visit branches to supervise and support the local teams.
  • Client and team support: Act as a liaison to resolve client issues by coordinating with other departments and provide support and training to the team.
  • Risk management: Identify, analyze, and recommend loss mitigation or litigation opportunities.
  • Business development: Perform surveys to understand business potential in the assigned area. 

Key skills and qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, specifically in collection and management.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in management information systems (MIS) and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Experience in the microfinance industry is often preferred.
